XYOUNGSTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged July 9 at Greater Friendship Baptist Church by Monica L. Boyd and Tyrone W. Traylor Jr., both of Youngstown.
The Revs. C.M. Jenkins II and Lewis Macklin officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and a reception followed at OCCHA.
The bride is a daughter of George and Pecola Hunter and James L. Boyd, and parents of the groom are Hurndon and Althea Mitchem and Tyrone Traylor Sr., all of Youngstown.
The bride's A-line satin gown was enhanced with crystals, pearls and rhinestone, and featured a dropped bodice and a cathedral train.
Wearing gold gowns were the honor attendants, Ra'Cole Taltoan and the bride's cousin Jessica Brown. Cherry-red gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Nathea Stevens, the groom's cousin; Angela Wallace, Andre & aacute; Brooks; Lisa Finney, the bride's cousin; and Sevora Mitchem, the groom's sister. Flower girls were Alis & aacute; Earvin and Jasmine Pierce, cousins of the bride.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Casey Traylor, and Justin Smith, and groomsmen were Reuben Traylor, Albert Sly and Roland Adam, his cousins, and Derrick Traylor and Ricardo Wallace, his brothers. Ring bearer was Jayshawn Perez, and ushers were Lepear Smith Jr. and Antoine Burgess, all cousins of the bride.
Also participating were Monica Sly, Amy Smith, Najiyan Burgess, Aliesha Finney and Jazmine Howell.
