Family dinner held for Briggs 71st

XBOARDMAN -- The 71st wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Briggs, 4708 Euclid Blvd., was celebrated during a family dinner held Aug. 5 at their home.
The former Florence Croyle and Mr. Briggs were united in marriage Aug. 4, 1934, in New Cumberland, W.Va.
The couple have two children, David Briggs of Ravenna and Judy Forney of Poland; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Briggs retired from Mahoning National Bank in 1981, where he was the paymaster for 22 years. He also worked at Hygrade Meat Packing Co. and for 13 years as an accountant with H & amp;R Block. His wife is a homemaker and seamstress.
