THEATER Auditions set for Poe play

YOUNGSTOWN -- J & amp;B Production Arts Services, the producer of the recent "Block 5," and The Victorian Players are collaborating on a special Halloween production which will be presented at the Victorian Players Theatre.
Auditions for "The Tell-Tale Poe" will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday and Aug. 21 at the theater at 702 Mahoning Ave. (across from Flynn Tire). Since this is an original script containing adapted literature by Edgar Allan Poe, the cast size is still very fluid. There are roles, however, for both men and women, ages 20 and up. The role of Edgar Allan Poe is available, as are some specialty roles both with dialogue and without.
The show is designed as a mix of "readers theater" and dramatic scenes. The show will open Oct. 14 and will run for three weekends through Halloween. There will also be midnight performances on Oct. 28 and 29.
No experience is required to audition. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from some of the adapted Poe literature which will be used in the show.
The show is being written and directed by J.E. Ballantyne, Jr. For further information about the show and the auditions call Mr. Ballantyne at (330) 799-6176.
