Theft: A man in the 300 block of Westview Avenue discovered the theft of items from his shed.
Assault: A Taylor Street woman alleged her former boyfriend, 19, assaulted her while trying to stop the victim from moving into her apartment.
July 29
Theft: Police arrested a man and a woman, both from Youngstown, who were accused of shoplifting at Devine's Shop 'n' Save, 529 N. Main St.
Possible breaking and entering: A Viola Avenue woman said she believed someone was trying to gain entry to her residence.
Aggravated assault: A woman told police she saw someone driving a silver Ford Taurus run over a man on West Park Avenue near Simler Street.
Criminal damaging: Someone ran over four signs and a portable toilet at an apartment complex near Bedford Road.

Burglary: A woman told police her sister's home in the 80 block of Jacobs Road was burglarized.
July 31
Theft: A motorist in a Ford F-250 truck left Hubbard Gas & amp; Mini Mart, 175 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, without paying for gasoline.
Theft: A man noticed a handgun missing from his home in the 200 block of Tulip Drive.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 300 block of Jackson Street discovered someone had tampered with her mail.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of money from her residence in the 100 block of East Park Avenue.
Aug. 1
Arrest: Girard police stopped a Hubbard man wanted on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on one count of failure to pay income taxes.
Vandalism: A worker at a doctor's office in the 700 block of North Main Street noticed an act of vandalism at the business.
