XYOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. John Horner officiated as Elizabeth Lynne Wilkes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Wilkes, and Steven Michael Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Larry Johnson, all of Boardman, were united in marriage at 5 p.m. July 1 at St. John's Episcopal Church.
After accepting congratulations during a reception at the Davis Center in Mill Creek Park, the couple left for a honeymoon in Bermuda.
They live in Boardman.
Swarovski crystals adorned the bride's silk A-line gown, and she held a bouquet of red roses.
Black gowns were worn by Angela Pirone of Struthers, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Meredith Hromadka of Cincinnati and Paula Willock of Salem.
Christopher Johnson of Austintown served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Dr. David Mitchell of North Canton and Matthew Wilkes of Cleveland, the bride's brother. Junior groomsman was Andrew Clark-Smith of Fairfield, Conn., the bride's godson.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education, the bride earned a master's in education at Ashland University and is a mathematics teacher with Struthers City Schools.
The groom, an engineer with Delphi Packard Electric Systems, earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and statistics at GMI Engineering and Management Institute. He is pursuing a master's in industrial engineering from Purdue University, Lafayette, Ind.
