EMA exercise schedule
The county's Emergency Management Agency & amp; Communications have scheduled these training exercises for 2005:
July 16: A decontamination drill in Canfield. Details of the time and specific place will be released later. The drill will determine how well safety forces and medical personnel handle a large group of civilians contaminated from a terrorist attack or other disaster.
July 25: A multicounty exercise, sponsored by the Ohio Department of Health, involving Mahoning, Medina, Portage and Summit counties. The exercise will be in Summit County with the time and place to be announced.
Oct. 12: An emergency operation center exercise to see how well Mahoning County's emergency management plan responds to a major attack or other event. This will be an eight-hour exercise. The time and place are to be announced.
