Living history group to depict Civil War



CANFIELD -- What if everything you thought about the American Civil War was wrong?
What if you were told that the war was not about slavery and that freed blacks supported and even fought for the Confederacy?
The Voice of the Confederacy, a nonprofit, volunteer living history group will be at Loghurst, 3967 Boardman-Canfield Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The group's primary mission is to educated and offer a different perspective on the war.
The Voice of the Confederacy portrays people who lived and supported the Southern cause, representing actual ancestors, military figures, common soldiers and civilians.
Admission for the program is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and children, and free for WRHS members and children 5 years and younger.
