ICE SKATING SHOW Championship couple to perform

BOARDMAN -- Two-time Olympian and former world figure skating champion Yuka Sato will highlight this year's Hooked on Classics Spring Ice Show at The Ice Zone Saturday and Sunday.
Sato and her husband, two-time U.S. Pairs Champion Jason Dungjen, will skate together as part of the weekend performances.
Sato captured the World Figure Skating Championships as an amateur in 1994 and as a professional in 2000. She finished seventh at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, and fifth at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.
Recently she has been performing with World Champion Kurt Browning on the Smuckers Stars On Ice tour. Dungjen and Kyoko Ina were the U.S. Pairs Figure Skating Champions in 1997 and 1998. Jason and Yuka have skated together since 1999.
Also featured is rising Japanese star Takahiko Kozuka. Just 16 years old, Kozuka finished fourth at the 2005 Japanese Nationals, equivalent to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, in the Men's Division.
National competitor Nate Evancho of Beaver Falls, Pa., who skated in the Junior Men's division at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 2003, also will perform. In addition, there will be performances by skaters young and old from the Ice Zone Figure Skating Club.
The shows will be at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 and 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for each show are $10 for a reserved bleacher seat, $8 for seniors and children under 10, and $12 for mezzanine seats. On-ice table seating is $100 for a group of six. Table seating includes wine and cheese for either evening performance and hot drinks and sweet treats for Sunday's matinee, sponsored by Dunkin Donuts.
