Walt McDonald, who was drafted by the Redskins out of Tulane in 1943, played for several teams in the old All-American Football Conference, including Brooklyn, Miami and Chicago. John Gerak, an offensive lineman from Penn State, was drafted by the Vikings in the third round in 1993. Two other Wildcats were drafted, but did not play in a regular season game: Martin Booher (Wisconsin) by the Packers in 1957 and Tony Fire (Bowling Green) by the Browns in 1966.
