Sons of Italy lodge seats new officers

CAMPBELL -- Sons of Italy Lodge 2720 of Campbell installed a new slate of officers for the 2005-07 term during a meeting April 4 at Pizza Joe's.
The induction ceremony was conducted by Tim Komara, president of the Sons of Italy Lodge 858 of Youngstown and recording secretary for the Sons of Italy State of Ohio Insurance Commission. Taking office were Steve Sferra, president; Dominic Medina, vice president; George Hasapes, orator; Sandy Redeske, recording secretary; Lena Pica, financial secretary; Joseph Mazzocca Jr., treasurer; and Mary Mazzocca, Lois Sferra, Michael Berry, Gina Sferra and John Pica, trustees.
Sylvia Rossodivita won the door prize.
The lodge is planning its annual picnic to be held Sept. 11 at the Campbell Community Center and a dinner dance on Sept. 24 at the ITAM Post 3 to raise funds for its scholarship fund.
