FORUM HEALTH Women & amp; Infants Pavilion scheduled to open in May

The new 69,000-square-foot facility cost $20 million.
BOARDMAN -- The new Forum Health Women & amp; Infants Pavilion at Beeghly Medical Park, 6505 Market St., will officially open May 4.
The new facility, a division of Western Reserve Care System and Tod Children's Hospital, will specialize in maternity, childbirth and neonatal care services.
Effective 7 a.m. May 4, all maternity deliveries will be performed at the new center, Forum Health officials said.
At the same time and date, Labor and Delivery and the Mother-Baby Unit of Western Reserve Care System Northside Medical Center and the Neonatal Special Care Unit at Tod Children's Hospital, 500 Gypsy Lane, will close and relocate to the new facility, hospital officials said in a press release.
The officials noted childbirth, maternity and neonatal services will no longer be available at Northside Medical Center and Tod's.
The new $20 million, 69,000-square-foot facility features 11 labor and delivery rooms, four antepartum rooms for at-risk mothers, 17 post-partum mother-baby rooms and 22 bassinets in the newborn nursery. The neonatal care unit has 17 stations for the care and treatment of infants with serious medical conditions.
The new facility is one of the first construction projects to be completed as part of the Forum Health master facility plan to enhance health care for the community, hospital officials said.
