College access program to meet
LIBERTY -- Jennifer Blatz, interim executive director of the Ohio College Access Network, will speak at the third annual meeting of the Mahoning Valley College Access Program.
The meeting will be at noon on Wednesday at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex.
Blatz was formerly program officer for KnowledgeWorks, the Cincinnati-based foundation that provides funding to college access programs in Ohio, including the MVCAP.
The MVCAP is a nonprofit, charitable organization, launched in 2001, with a mission to increase the number of students in the Mahoning Valley who continue their education beyond high school.
The president of the MVCAP Board of Directors is Al Brant, retired chairman and president of Second Bancorp Inc. Dave Heilman, retired president of Delphi Packard Electric, is vice president of the MVCAP Board.
Executive director of the MVCAP is Dr. Joe Rottenborn, formerly superintendent of Columbiana Exempted Village Schools.
