TIME CHANGE
It's time to spring ahead and lose an hour of sleep. Daylight savings time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday. Clocks must be turned ahead an hour at bedtime Saturday. Given that everyone will lose an hour, The Vindicator asked some area residents a question about that hour: If you had a choice, what hour of your time would you most like to lose?
"I can't afford to lose any hour of time. The day is too short as it is." Gina Romeo of Struthers
"The first or last hour of my work shift." Will Seay of Youngstown
"The hour between when I get up and I leave the house. I'm grumpy in the mornings -- I hate mornings." Tina Sparks of Mineral Ridge
"Five o'clock, because of the traffic. It's busy and everybody's going home, the freeways are congested." Tracy Hoke of Warren
"The first hour of work, so I could sleep longer." Frank Tempesta of Warren.
"I'd like to lose the one that we're giving up in the morning, because I'm losing an hour of sleep." Terri Blake of Warren
"Probably 8:00 in the morning," said Joe Pappagallo of Austintown, who was at the township park, playing with his grandchildren. "It's just a weird time. I get up at 5 a.m. and I start to get sleepy at 8 and I want to doze off."
