Harvey honored
Brandon E. Harvey, son of Larry and Phyllis Harvey of Austintown, received his Eagle Scout award, the highest a Boy Scout can achieve, at a court of honor ceremony in March at Grace Church of the Nazarene in Austintown.
Harvey has served as junior assistant scoutmaster for Troop 75 at the Saxon Club in Austintown. He also has served as patrol leader and quartermaster at Troop 84, also in Austintown. He earned 22 merit badges and was elected into the Order of the Arrow, where he serves as vice chief of camping for the Wapashuwi Lodge.
He now serves as an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 75.
His Eagle service project was the redesign and expansion of the handicapped parking area at The Saxon Club. Harvey attends E.T.I. Technical College in Niles.
DOCTOR
Acerra starts residency
John R. Acerra of Boardman is doing his residency in emergency medicine at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after graduating from Ohio State University's College of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Acerra is a 1996 Canfield High School graduate, and he earned his bachelor's degree in zoology from Miami University, Oxford, in May 2000. He is the son of Barbara J. Acerra of Boardman and the late John J. Acerra.
