SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Dr. Alondra Oubre, a medical anthropologist and author of "Instinct and Revelation," will lecture on "The Fuzzy Things called 'Races'" at 4 p.m Wednesday in Spotts World Cultures Building auditorium as part of her visit to Slippery Rock University. The free program deals with a provocative topic, as do all of Oubre's lectures.
Scrapbooking class
EAST PALESTINE -- The East Palestine Memorial Public Library is offering a beginning scrapbooking class. Evening and Saturday classes are available for ages 10 and up. Those who wish to attend should bring $5 for expenses and 8-10 small photographs. Sign up at the library's main desk or call (330) 426-3778.
