Tax-evasion case assigned
YOUNGSTOWN -- The tax-evasion case against Mark S. Colucci, 46, of Austintown has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley in Cleveland. Colucci, who voluntarily gave up his law license this month, will plead guilty at arraignment, his lawyer has said. The government said Colucci failed to pay the IRS nearly $30,000 in taxes he withheld from his employees and failed to pay $291,149 in personal income tax over a five-year period. The case was initially assigned to U.S. District Judge Peter C. Economus in Youngstown, but the judge recused himself, court papers show.
