Shooting on South Side leaves 17-year-old in critical condition

YOUNGSTOWN -- A 17-year-old boy was in critical condition early today at St. Elizabeth Health Center after having been shot at least twice Tuesday afternoon on the city's South Side.
Police found the victim, Keith Robinson Jr. of Hudson Avenue, lying on a living room couch at 38 E. Avondale Ave. at 2:16 p.m. He had been shot above the left knee and in his lower right side.
When they arrived at the scene, police found a rear kitchen door kicked in and the rear sliding glass door off its track and on the floor.
Robinson said he had been shot on the second floor.
When they went to the second floor, police found several rooms with blood on the floor and a spent .40-caliber casing in the hallway. Several rooms had been ransacked as if the suspects had been looking for something, police observed.
The boy's mother said she last saw him about 1 p.m.
A witness reported seeing a woman back a white Dodge Intrepid out of the driveway around the time of the 2 p.m. shooting.
Another witness reported seeing a green sport utility vehicle occupied by four men pull into the driveway, honk and leave around 1:45 p.m.
