BOXING Salem's McBride faces unbeaten Casal in Vegas

The four-round bout is set for Saturday at Caesar's Palace in Nevada.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Salem boxer "Irish" Davey McBride returns to Las Vegas Saturday for a four-round fight at Caesar's Palace.
McBride, managed by Chuck Nelson and trained by Jack Loew at the Southside Boxing Club, lost a controversial split decision to Eric Nemo in a lightweight four-round bout Sept. 17 at the Orleans Casino.
McBride (5-3, 3 knockouts), who turned pro in 2003, will fight Nick Casal (3-0), an 18-year-old from Niagara Falls, N. Y.
Casal has stopped all three of his opponents since turning pro in June, two of them in the first round. He is managed by Shelly Finkel and trained by his father, Ray Casal.
This fight will be fought at 144 pounds so McBride is moving up to be a junior welterweight.
"What I know of Casal is that he is tough, but this time I don't want the judges deciding the fight so I'll have to make sure there isn't a decision," McBride said.
Wladimir Klitschko fights DaVarryl Williamson in a 10-round heavyweight bout at the top of the card and there are two other title fights on the card.
In a 12-rounder for the vacant IBF super middleweight title, Jeff Lacy takes on Syd Vanderpool, and Kassim Ouma battles Verno Phillips for the IBF light middleweight championship.
