Temple on the Hill seats officers at ceremony



The international president conducted the ceremony.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Temple on the Hill High Twelve Club 721 held installation of officers Sept. 24 at the Youngstown Masonic Temple.
G. Edward Humphrey was inducted as president of the organization, and assuming their duties as his associate officers were Howard C. Bodine Jr., first vice president and publicity chairman; Clare E. Beckman, second vice president; Robert Musgrove, third vice president; Ray Nevel, secretary; Richard Roumfort, treasurer; John R. Selders, chaplain; Robert Leedy, sergeant at arms; August Angel, Jack Fay and Selders, trustees; Glenn Ellis, Wolcott chairman; Wallace McCartney, program chairman; and James W. Hill, Masonic representative and historian.
McCartney, who is international president, was the installing officer with assistance from the state officers. Vocalist was Deanna Anderson. A luncheon followed in the fellowship hall and was served by Bill Weems and the Acacia Club.
The president
Humphrey has twice served as master of Western Star Lodge 21 and has chaired the Western Star golf outing for Special Olympics for the past 17 years. He now serves the lodge as chaplain.
He is a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown, and has served on the membership committee and has been a cast member in various degrees. He also was thrice potent master of Hiram Lodge of Perfection and is hospitaler for the Valley of Youngstown.
He belongs to the Aut Mori Grotto, is an active member of the cast and stage unit as "Rooster" the clown and serves on the Circus Aut Mori executive committee. He also has served as monarch, secretary and trustee of the Grotto.
A member of the Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland and the Youngstown Shrine Club, he also is a member of the Shrine Speakers Bureau. He served as adviser for the Youngstown Chapter Order of Demolay and is president of the advisory board.
Humphrey and his wife, Karen, belong to Christ's Church in Boardman. They have three sons and five grandchildren. He is retired from sales at Greenwood Chevrolet.
