XYOUNGSTOWN -- Nassau in the Bahamas was the honeymoon destination of Christopher Silvestri and his bride, the former Robyn Turney, following their marriage Aug. 21 at St. Patrick Church.
The Rev. Edward Noga officiated at the 2 p.m. wedding, and a reception followed at Mahoning Country Club, Girard.
Parents of the bride are Robert and Catherine Turney, 928 Old Furnace Road, and the groom is a son of Mary Ellen Silvestri, 1751 Paisley St., Austintown, and the late Paul Silvestri.
Crystal beading enhanced the bride's strapless, mermaid-style gown, and the skirt flowed into a chapel train.
Fuchsia and black gowns were worn by Kimberly Patrone and Brooke Turney, the honor attendants, and the bridesmaids, Julie Shartal, Melanie Humphrey, Robin Dangelo, Rachel Turner, Paula Granger, Suzanna Cingolani, Holly Tomlin, Amy Hilbert and Erica Terrago.
Todd Humphrey and Mike Patrone shared the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Robert Turney, Ron Alega, Bill White, James Turney, Jon-Paul Gleydura, Dean Bushling, Mark Dangelo, Ross Mclynden and Justin Silvestri.
A graduate of the Hair Academy in Austintown, the bride is a managing cosmetologist with Sherry Gordon Salon and Day Spa in Howland. The groom, a Navy veteran, is an assembler with General Motors Corp. in Lordstown.
The couple live at 3010 Flo Lor Drive.
