XEAST PALESTINE -- Exchanging marriage vows before the Rev. Dan Cipar during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 21 at Our Lady of Lourdes were Pamela Lynn Mihalcak, daughter of John and Linda Mihalcak, all of 1020 Howell Ave., and Douglas George Shaffer, son of Ronald and Margaret Shaffer, all of 638 Martin Road, Mogadore.
A reception at Das Dutch Village Inn, Columbiana, honored the couple, who left for a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Mexico. They live in Akron.
Mrs. Shaffer graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in advertising and marketing. She is employed by Kaufmann's in Akron.
A graduate of KSU with a bachelor's in computer information systems, Mr. Shaffer is employed by Lockheed Martin, Akron.
The bride's strapless gown was complemented by a matching stole.
Honor attendants were Janet Aldridge, the bride's sister, and Nicole Visnick, her cousin. Bridesmaids were Crystal Vignon, her cousin, and Tiffany McKay, Diana Pastore and Theresa Lukanec. They wore sky-blue dresses. Junior bridesmaid was Alexandra Aldridge, the bride's niece, and flower girl was Kaylee Shaffer, the groom's niece.
Best man was Joel Abe. Groomsmen were Adam Shaffer and Christopher Buehner, the groom's cousins; Jeffrey Shaffer, his brother; and Shawn Jutte and Travis Berardinelli. Junior groomsmen was Keaton Aldridge, the bride's nephew, and ring bearer was Carson Flynn, the groom's cousin.
