ATHENA SPIROGLOUGEORGE LYRAS
XCAMPBELL -- Athena Spiroglou, 379 Porter Ave., and George Lyras, 80 Creed Circle, exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Steven Denas during a ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church.
A reception honored the couple at St. Lucy Church banquet center.
The bride is a daughter of Iraklis and Eleni Spiroglou of the Porter Avenue address. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lyras of Campbell and Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Dubos of Boardman.
Swavorski crystals and pearls embellished the bride's strapless gown of candlelight silk styled with a drop waist and cathedral train with box pleats.
The bride's twin sister, Dimitra Grillis, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Aspacia Tress and Marissa Hostal, the groom's sisters; Ruth Radack, the bride's cousin; AlexaPetrelis, her godsister; and Anastasia Kalouris. They wore ivory dresses. The groom's cousin, Aspacia Lyras, was flower girl.
Performing the duties of best man was the groom's cousin, George Psaras. Groomsmen were Sean Tress, the groom's brother-in-law; Michael Hostal and Manoli Lyras, his brothers; George Valantasis, his cousin; and Nick Perry. Ring bearer was Ilia Lyras, his cousin, and Nick Lyras, his brother, was carrier of the crowns.
Koumbaro was Gust Lyras, the groom's godfather.
Mr. Lyras is self-employed with Corcon Painting, Lowellville. He attended Mount Union College, Alliance.
The newlyweds live in Campbell.
