BOXING P.C. Torres will have six in Pa. bouts



WARREN -- Trainer P.C. Torres will have six boxers from his Warren Boxing Club fighting in the McKeesport Boxing Invitational Saturday at The Palace.
Five Junior Olympians will be in action, with 11-year-old Ryan Davis (1-1) battling Pittsburgh's Aaron Cimino in a 78-pound bout.
A pair of 13-year olds -- 114-pound Dale Peterman and 88-pound Jamal Vann -- will be in fights. Peterman will make his ring debut against West Virginia's Tim Grant.
Vann (2-1) will be in the ring with Eric Fisher, a four fight veteran from West Virginia.
Also making his ring debut will be 11-year-old Devontae Wesson, at 72 pounds. His opponent is to be determined.
Jermain Vallard, a 15-year-old at 161 pounds, will fight Robert Weissen of Pittsburgh in the debut for each.
Heavyweight novice Joe Mayhugh, 16, has 3-0 record at 230 pounds; he will fight Mitch Hall from the McDonald A.C.
All of the Junior Olympic and Novice bouts will be three-rounds with Open Division bouts four rounds.
Two other Valley boxers will join the Warren group at the Keystone State Invitational, with Josh Harris in a cruiserweight battle with Ryan Covert from Butler.
Also, standout middleweight Nate Adams (5-3), a recent Cleveland Golden Gloves finalist, battles Eric Harris (165) from Pittsburgh.
Ted Billingly is the promoter for the 14-fight card that begins at 7:30 p.m.
