VOLLEYBALL Bogdan has role in TAC victory

Fitch beat North Canton Hoover in five sets in Federal League play.
HUBBARD -- Hubbard High volleyball sophomore Maggie Bogdan collected 15 kills and blocked nine balls Tuesday as the Eagles dropped Girard, 25-20, 25-23, 21-25, 25-18, in a Trumbull Athletic Conference volleyball match.
Also for the Eagles (6-3, 6-0), Callie Oyler had 15 kills and Corrie Gasser tacked on 35 assists.
For the Indians (10-3, 5-2), Chelsea Morrison killed 20 shots and blocked seven more while Erin Stevens had 35 assists.

LEAVITTSBURG -- Lauren McCumber had 13 points, five aces and five blocks while Lindsay Whetzel had 11 kills and nine digs for Lakeview (7-3, 5-2). Kelly Moore added 13 points and Michelle Antonelli had 34 assists.
Maddie D'Orio had nine kills and Laura Bates added 14 digs for LaBrae (7-4, 4-2).

LIBERTY -- Morgan Vonekovic had 19 kills, Rachel Pasquerilla had 44 assists and Andrea Gladis added 14 points for Brookfield (7-6, 3-3).
Amy Markowitz had 19 kills and Emily Hall had 21 assists for Liberty (4-7, 2-5).

CHAMPION -- Shannon Gardner had nine points, four digs and Haley York had nine blocks for Champion (2-7, 1-6).
Lindsay Templeton had eight points and seven blocks, Amber Ackerman had eight points and four digs and Heather Pegg had 14 kills.
For Newton Falls (1-8, 0-7), Molly Lenarcic had 10 kills and six blocks and Lindsay McCartney made 18 digs.

AUSTINTOWN -- Jessica Evans had 27 points, two aces, 15 kills, five blocks and eight assists while Meghan McDermott had eight kills and 26 points for the Falcons (4-5, 2-2) in a Federal League match.
Caitlin O'Patchen had six kills, one ace, six blocks, 13 points and 31 assists. Danielle Crum had two blocks, seven kills and 11 points while Megan Williams added two kills, eight blocks and 10 points.

BOARDMAN -- April Melquist had seven kills and three blocks for the Spartans (3-6, 1-3). Lauren Rider had five kills and Jill Sutton added six points and five digs.

CAMPBELL -- Taylor Pancoe had 18 hits, eight kills and 13 points for Mooney (9-2). Michelle Pelini had 14 hits, six kills and nine aces while Danielle Daltorio had seven aces and 11 points.
