Macker-Kerns wedding date to be Oct. 23

XIllona Martin of Girard and Bruce Macker of Cortland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Macker of Girard, to John Kerns, also of Girard.
Mr. Kerns is a son of Barbara Corbett of Philadelphia.
The couple's 1:30 p.m. open ceremony will be an event of Oct. 23 at St. Bernadette Church in Masury. Invitations will be extended for a reception to be held that afternoon at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Miss Macker is a protective-service representative with Advocacy and Protective Services Inc. in Mineral Ridge.
The prospective groom is pursuing a degree in civil engineering at YSU and is a material-testing engineer at PSI in Girard.
