BAZAARS
XHungarian Presbyterian Church will hold a fall bazaar and dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Sunday at the Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. Dinners will feature roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Reservations will be taken until Thursday, and cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. BINGO-CARD PARTIES
XAltar and Rosary Society of St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a card and bingo party at 2 p.m. Oct. 10 at Maxwell Hall. Tickets, which will be sold at the door, cost $4 and include lunch. Those attending should enter from the back parking lot off of Schenley Avenue or Glenellen Avenue. BOOK SALES
XHubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St., will hold its fall book sale starting with a preview from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 29. Admission is $5. Sale hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 30 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 1 and 2, which will be $2-a-bag day. Books, tapes, videos and compact disks will be sold. Children's books and paperbacks will be 25 cents, and hardcover books, one dollar. Printers and computers also will be sold. All proceeds will benefit the library. Donations of used books will be accepted throughout the sale.
CORN ROASTS
XYoungstown Snowboard and Ski Club will hold its 39th annual corn roast from 6 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Maronite Center Pavilion, Meridian Road, Youngstown. Cost is $16 per person in advance by mailing checks to P.O. Box 841, Youngstown, Ohio 44501, or $17 at the door. There will be all-you-can-eat corn on the cob as well as a variety of games, dancing, contests and other food.
CRAFTS SHOWS

DINNERS
XEaster Seals will hold its 53rd annual dinner Oct. 6 at Antone's Banquet Centre, 85f78 Market St., Boardman, with a social time and cash bar at 6 p.m. and sit-down dinner at 7. FUND-RAISERS
XAnimal Charity's Jean Kelty Memorial Fair is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Chester Long Pavilion and Multi-Purpose Room at Boardman Township Park. There will be a nature walk with naturalist Bill Whitehouse. Other activities will be games and face painting. Pets are welcome. Donations will benefit the care and welfare of animals.
XThe sixth annual Joshua Walker Benefit Car and Motorcycle Cruise is planned from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Emmanuel Community Church, 6512 Kirk Road, Austintown. The event, to be held rain or shine, will feature a large display of vehicles, Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle, bake sale, entertainment, a cutathon, food, trophies and dash plaques. Joshua, 7, son of Sandra and Frank Walker of Baylor Avenue, Austintown, has a rare and debilitating disease, metachromatic leukodystrophy. SALES
XAmerican Legion Auxiliary Unit 737 will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 2 and 3 at the post home, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton. Lunch will be available.
XCentenary United Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. XChrist Church Presbyterian, 1933 Canfield Road, will hold a pumpkin fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Fall produce and flowers, baked goods, jellies and candies will be sold. There will be a petting zoo and games. Also featured will be crafts, a book sale, flea market and Chinese auction, and a variety of foods will be sold.
XSalem Community Hospital Auxiliary's Jewelry Fest will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 29 in the hospital's private dining room. The event features gold and sterling silver jewelry including necklaces, earrings, pins and watches at discounted prices. Proceeds benefit SCH auxiliary projects.
XTod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. N.W., Warren, will hold a fall rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. There will be a bag day for clothing for $2 per bag on Friday and a bag day for clothing and most other items for $2 per bag Saturday. No delivery service will be available.
