Tennessee rallies to beat Gators

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- James Wilhoit kicked a 50-yard field goal with six seconds remaining to give No. 13 Tennessee a 30-28 victory over No. 11 Florida on Saturday night.
Wilhoit redeemed himself after missing an extra-point try less than five minutes earlier that would have tied the game.
Tennessee was trailing 28-21 in the fourth quarter, when freshman Erik Ainge completed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Jayson Swain with 4:17 left. But Wilhoit was wide right on the kick.
All Florida had to do was run out the clock, but the Gators (1-1, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) had to punt with 55 seconds remaining.

PROVO, Utah -- Matt Leinart passed for 236 yards and two touchdowns, and Reggie Bush scored twice and finished with 124 yards on 14 carries for Southern California (3-0), which won its 13th straight game.
Leinart completed 22 of 35 passes with one interception and added a 1-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, the first rushing TD of his career. LenDale White scored on a 43-yard run later in the fourth, and finished with 110 yards on 17 carries.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Andrew Walter threw for 428 yards and five touchdowns to lead Arizona State (3-0) to a surprisingly easy victory over Iowa (2-1). He went 31-for-43 and broke Jake Plummer's record for career TD passes with 66.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Marion Barber III ran for 201 yards and two touchdowns and running mate Laurence Maroney added 132 yards for Minnesota (3-0).
Bryan Cupito hit Matt Spaeth with a pair of TD passes and Minnesota scored on four of its first five drives, finishing with more than 400 yards (504) for the 11th straight game.

JONESBORO, Ark. -- Tim Goodwell forced a fumble and returned it 10 yards for a touchdown with 2:22 remaining and Memphis scored 21 points in the final three minutes.
Goodwell's hit on Arkansas State quarterback Nick Noce that forced the fumble gave the Tigers (3-0), ranked for the first time, their first lead of the game, 40-35.
