INTERSTATE 80 Pennsylvania State Police arrest 20 illegal aliens



MERCER, Pa. -- State police said they apprehended 20 illegal immigrants in four separate traffic stops on Interstate 80 in Mercer County over the last four days.
They picked up 14 illegal immigrants from Mexico around 10 a.m. Thursday in Wolf Creek Township. They were in a Chevrolet van stopped for several traffic violations. Federal immigration agents took all 14 into custody, police said.
On Friday, troopers stopped a vehicle in Shenango Township for a traffic violation around 9:40 a.m. and found two illegal immigrants from Brazil inside. Both were handed over to federal immigration officials.
On Sunday, troopers found three Mexican illegals in Lackawannock Township around 1:50 a.m. during a traffic stop. Federal agents took them into custody later in the day.
At 9:15 a.m. Sunday, troopers stopped a vehicle in Findley Township on a traffic violation and found an illegal Mexican immigrant inside. Luis M. Mota DeJesus, 23, had fraudulent Social Security and Resident Alien cards in his possession, police said.
He was charged with possession of fraudulent documents and driving under the influence, and he was held for federal authorities.

Seven illegal aliens were nabbed in the previous few weeks, again all on I-80.
Three individuals from Peru were caught in Shenango Township Sept. 13 and turned over to federal agents.
An illegal Russian immigrant was caught in Findley Township Sept. 7. He was released pending further immigration proceedings.
One Mexican illegal was nabbed in Wolf Creek Township Sept. 6 and was handed over to federal agents.
Two Guatemalan illegals were caught in Wolf Creek Township Aug. 21. Both were released pending further immigration proceedings.
