Teddy Bear Walk to help center



Volunteers are needed for the Oct. 2 inaugural event.
CANFIELD -- The inaugural Teddy Bear Walk, which will benefit the Children's Learning Center at Youngstown Masonic Temple, 223 Wick Ave., Youngstown, is planned from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 2 at Canfield Fairgrounds.
Featured at the five-mile walk will be games, food, prizes, gifts, T-shirts and caps.
Volunteers also are needed to help at the registration table, distribute water, assist with parking and help direct walkers.
On the walk committee are Robert McBride, chairman; Philip Snyder, learning center; and Doug Hagy, treasurer.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the learning center and the dyslexic children who attend.
In 1994, 32nd degree Masons made a commitment to help dyslexic children, their families and communities. The learning centers sponsored by the Masons are the result of this commitment.
