Springfield sweeps United, Marlington

Fitch split two matches while Crestview remains unbeaten.
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Lindsay Johnson scored nine points and made nine kills and 14 blocks Saturday to lead the Springfield High volleyball team to 25-20, 22-25, 18-16 win over United.
Rachel Mincher had eight points, eight kills and four blocks for the Tigers. Krista Snyder scored 16 points and Ashley Avnet produced 17.

NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Johnson scored 15 points and made nine kills and five blocks for the Tigers (10-3). Christy Warren scored three points and made six kills.

AUSTINTOWN -- In a triangular, Olmsted finished 2-0, Fitch 1-1 and Middleburg Heights Midpark 0-2.
Senior outside hitter Jessica Evans had 12 kills, one ace and 17 points for Fitch; sophomore middle hitter Danielle Crum had 10 points, three kills and seven blocks; and sophomore setter Caitlin O'Patchen had five points, 21 assists, three blocks and two kills.

AUSTINTOWN -- Evans had 10 points, six blocks, five assists and eight kills while O'Patchen had five blocks and nine points for Fitch (3-5).

COLUMBIANA -- Michelle Parks led the Rebels with six kills and three blocks. Rachell Storm scored 11 points and five kills while Elyse Mongillo made 24 assists.
For the Wildcats, Dana Varga made 15 assists while Nicole Robenolt made nine digs and five kills.

COLUMBIANA -- Tricia Richards made 20 kills, five blocks and five digs for the unbeaten Rebels (11-0). Caitlin Crowell made 19 digs while Mongillo had 28 assists.
For the Warriors, Rachel Pasquerilla made 23 assists; Morgan Bonekovic had two blocks, 11 digs and kills; and Lynzie Smith scored eight points.

COLUMBIANA -- For the Warriors, Pasquerilla made 14 assists, Bonekovic made six kills and Andre Gladis scored 13 points.
For Struthers, Robenolt made seven digs and Angela Monico had two assists.

BELOIT -- Dena New had two points, three blocks and 22 assists while Casey Benner had nine kills, four blocks and a dig for West Branch (9-3).

BELOIT -- Evelyn Woods had seven passes, two digs, six kills and seven blocks and four points while Dena New had 17 assists and five points and Rachael Boyce five points for West Branch. Tara Chizmar had five kills and Pam Miler three points for South Range.

COLUMBUS -- In the Worthington Invitational, Callie Oyler had six kills, Maggie Bogdan four kills, Kylene Hoch 26 digs and Corrie Gasser 17 assists for Hubbard.

COLUMBUS -- For the Eagles, Kate Tobey and Oyler had five kills, Hoch 25 digs and Bailey Hinkle four kills.
