XWARREN -- The marriage of JoAnne Sandra Stathis, 1380 Eastland Ave. S.E., and Ted J. Baker, 20 Monte Lane, Cortland, was solemnized at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 21 by the Rev. Stylianos Menis at St. Demetrios Hellenic Orthodox Church. A reception was held at St. Demetrios Community Center.
The bride is a daughter of Sylvia P. Stathis of the Eastland Avenue address and the late William G. Stathis. The groom is a son of Patricia Baker of 31 Hickory and the late Thomas Baker.
Since returning from a honeymoon to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Napa Valley, Calif., they live in Cortland.
Dean W. Stathis escorted the bride, who wore an ivory silk satin gown styled with a cathedral train.
Honor attendant was Marietta Morris. Bridesmaids were Jennice Zymaris, Vivian Axiotis and Anissia Anastasiadis. They wore ivory and pale-yellow dresses. Flower girl was Celeste Morris.
Best man was David Hrina. Groomsmen were Tim Baker, Tom Baker and Terry Baker. Ring bearer was Demetrios Lagoutaris, and crown bearer was Jimmy Theofilis.
Koumbari were Fedra Anastasiadis and Michael Niarhos.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in professional writing and editing. She is an enforcement specialist with Trumbull County Child Support Enforcement Agency. The groom earned bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering at YSU. He is a civil engineer with the Ohio Department of Transportation, Akron.
