ICL South Range wins fourth game



Jackson-Milton got its first win, 28-7, over Western Reserve.
NORTH LIMA -- Senior tailback Ben Johnston scored three times Friday as the South Range High football team won its fourth-straight game, 48-6 over Lowellville.
The Raiders (4-0, 1-0) picked up 354 of its offensive yards on the ground.
Johnston finished with 102 yards on 13 carries while junior Matt Schlatter added 85 yards on six carries. Schlatter also scored one touchdown as did Tony Darkadakis, Kris Davis and Tommy Schives.
John Speziale's 62-yard reception of a Rich Schrader pass accounted for Lowellville's score.
Lucas Gonzalez rushed 14 times for 57 yards for Lowellville (1-3), which was out-gained in total yards, 416 to 142.
Speziale's touchdown followed Darkadakis' tally and came at 11:48 of the second quarter on a second-and-12 play.
Jackson-Milton 28, Western Reserve 7
NORTH JACKSON -- Adam Keck scored touchdowns on runs of 4, 1, 5 and 42 yards as the BlueJays snapped a three-game losing streak.
It was the Inter-County League opener for both schools, and Keck gained 204 yards, 118 of it in the second half, on 24 rushes.
The BlueJays held Western Reserve (2-2, 0-1) to 50 yards on 21 rushes, and the Blue Devils connected on 9 of 22 passes for 79 yards.
Jackson-Milton sophomore cornerback Nick MacLarren returned two intercepted passes 35 yards.
Western Reserve had minus-28 yards of offense in the first half.
McDonald 33, Danbury 8
SANDUSKY -- Ryan Ronghi scored on touchdown runs of 8, 20 and 1 yards for the Blue Devils (3-1) in the non-league game.
Tyler Stanley, who gained 193 yards on 25 carries, put McDonald ahead when he tallied on a 9-yard run in the first quarter.
The Blue Devils gained 401 yards on 48 rushes and they were 3-of-6 passing for 105.
The Lakers (0-4) picked up 75 yards on 25 rushes and they were 12 of 20 passing for 93 yards.
