WARREN -- Monument of Faith C.O.G.I.C., 2165 Highland Ave., presents "Our Best is Yet to Come!," a benefit gospel music concert at 7 p.m. Friday. KJuan and Company will be featured along with the M.O.F. Gospel Choir, Kent State Gospel Choir, Mechowlah-Barak Ministries-Rivers of Living Waters C.O.G.I.C., Everlasting Hope of Warren First Assembly of God, Sister Michele Stevenson of WANR 1570 AM, the Positive Force Drill Team of the Rebecca Williams Community Center, Michael A. Jordan of G. Progressive C.O.G.I.C. and others. The concert benefits the Community Family Outreach complex, which helps with employment, housing, education and family services. Prayer conference
YOUNGSTOWN -- Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ, 3800 Hudson Ave., and Evangelist P. Alexander will present the Second Annual Feast of Trumpets Prayer Conference at 7 p.m. Sept. 21-24 with the theme "Walking in Dominion." Speakers will include the Rev. Rod Hennings of Buffalo, N.Y., the Rev. Kenneth Paramore of Akron, the Rev. Anthony Parker of Cleveland and Superintendent Brandon Porter of Memphis, Tenn. Day of Recollection
NORTH JACKSON -- Youngstown Diocesan Legion of Mary Curia will have its annual Day of Recollection from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson. Rev. Msgr. Anthony S. Spinosa will be the Retreat Master. The day will include the Rosary and the Divine Liturgy. The $9 fee includes dinner. Returning Home series
CANFIELD -- St. Michael Church, 281 Glenview Road (entrance below the bell tower), will conduct an ongoing series called Catholics Returning Home on six consecutive Monday evenings at 7 beginning Sept. 20. These sessions are for nonpracticing Catholics who are seeking answers about returning to the church. Rosicrucian presentation
SALEM -- The public is invited to learn more about the Rosicrucian (Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis) order at a free presentation and viewing of videos at 7 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Timberlanes, 544 E. Pershing St. Free refreshments.
Women's conference
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 10143 Main St., is hosting a one-day conference for women, "Sisters in Grace," Oct. 16. This day of reflection will be about women and their relationship with God. Registration will be from 8 to 9 a.m. and the first of four speakers will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available. Music will be provided by Living Praise from Steubenville. The $25 registration fee includes breakfast and luncheon. Social and Benefit event
AUSTINTOWN -- St. Joseph Church, 4545 New Road, will hold its fourth annual Social and Benefit in honor of Sister Jacquelyn Herpy, O.S.U., who served as principal of St. Joseph School from 1983 to 1988. This event for adults will be from 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 6. There will be hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, 50/50 raffle, door prizes and a Chinese auction. Music will be provided by Millennium Music Productions. A donation of $25 is being asked per ticket. Attire is casual. CANFIELD -- Old North Church will host & quot;In His Presence, & quot; a prayer/worship conference lead by Sheryl Pellatiro and her & quot;Solid Truth Ministries & quot; of Michigan. The conference is from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 1 and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 2. Prayer journals, continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Anniversary celebration
STRUTHERS -- Fellowship Church of God in Christ, 115 Frank St., at the corner of Snyder Street, is celebrating its 14th anniversary Sept. 26 with the Rev. Richard E. Kimbrough. The Rev. Michael Scott of New Galilee Church of God in Christ will be the featured speaker at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, and the Rev. Kenneth Crumb of Dominion Full Gospel Church of Cambridge, Pa. will speak at 7 p.m. Friday. The official anniversary is next Sunday.
Tony Deblois concert
HUBBARD -- St. Patrick Church, 367 N. Main St., is featuring Tony Deblois in concert from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 12. Refreshments and fellowship with Tony will be in the hall after the concert. Tony has overcome many obstacles. His birth weight was just over 1 pound, and he is blind and autistic. He has played piano since age 2 and now plays several other instruments. Tony graduated from the Perkins School for the Blind and magna cum laude from Berklee College of Music in 1996. He has made several CDs and traveled the world giving concerts. A free-will offering will be taken.
