The city's board of control approved these items Thursday:
Severance pay of $9,495 for David Bole Jr., a fire department captain who retired Aug. 11.
A $10,000 facade renovation loan for Sandel's Loan Inc., 306 W. Federal St.,
A $10,000 facade renovation loan for S.K.A. Ltd., 124 W. Federal St. The owner is planning to open a martini and cigar bar in the vacant former First Federal Building.
A surety bond of $6,000 for Black's Floor Covering of Youngstown.
Payment of $20,000 to K.T. Lyden Construction, Youngstown, for emergency repair of a catch basin and storm sewer on Rexford Road.
Payment of $20,130 to K.T. Lyden for emergency repair of a sanitary and storm sewer line on Stratmore Avenue.
Payment of $2,563 to L.E.C. Inc., Youngstown, for emergency repair of a catch basin at 25 Saranac Ave.
Payment of $2,639 to Utility Contracting, Youngstown, for emergency repair of a catch basin on Bears Den Road.
Payment of $15,091 to Marucci & amp; Gaffney Excavating for emergency repair of a sanitary and storm sewer on Marmion Avenue.
