When: 7 p.m.Where: Mount Union Stadium, Alliance.Series record: Mount Union leads, 17-2-2.Scouting report: Mount Union was idle last week after rolling past Washington (Mo.), 38-0, in its season opener two Saturdays ago. John Carroll lost its season opener to Hope last Saturday, 21-20. Mount Union, the defending OAC champion, extended its regular season winning streak to 95 games dating back to October 1994. QB Zac Bruney was 18-for-27 for 294 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Jeff Strauch was the top rusher with 101 yards on 11 carries, while Rick Ciccone had five receptions for 42 yards. On defense, MLB Shaun Spisak had eight hits while Jesse Wells had seven, including two tackles for loss. LB Anthony Frate along with DL Sam Vucelich and Greg Brauer each had a pair of sacks. Earlier last week, Spisak and Bruney, both seniors, were named team captains. Rick Prescot, a senior C, also shared that honor against Washington. For John Carroll, QB Matt Martin passed for 249 yards on 18-for-35 while RB Brandon Oing rushed for a game-high 101 yards in 12 carries, including a 51-yard TD dash. WR Tom McDonald caught a game-high seven passes for 113 yards. On defense, LB Joe Motley had nine hits while S Tim King had seven with one interception.

HIRAM (0-2) vs. WESTMINSTER (0-2)

This is the first meeting since 1942.Scouting report: Hiram has been outscored by 68-6 in two losses this season to Carnegie Mellon (44-0) and Bluffton (24-6). Westminster is coming off a two-overtime, 21-14 loss to Allegheny in the Titans' home opener. Senior WR Brian Ekis (Boardman) had nine pass catches for 141 yards, including one for a 16-yard TD from sophomore QB J.R. Barley, who was 18-for-28 for 205 yards. Senior RB Scott Froelich rushed for 120 yards in 27 carries, while freshman PK George Malactaris (Campbell) kicked a pair of 27-yard fields goals to stake Westminster to a 6-0 lead. On defense, senior DL Don Waldron (Lakeview) had nine tackles, including 3 1/2 for losses, while DT Tony Ventresco (Boardman) had seven tackles and 1 1/2 sacks for the Titans, while junior DB Tom Froelich and sophomore LB Chris Dulovich (Poland) both partially blocked punts. Hiram has been led on offense by junior RB Tim Anderson with 159 rushing yards and 82 receiving yards, and on defense by junior LB Stephen Boxler with 25 tackles.

THIEL (1-1) vs. BLUFFTON (2-0)
When: 1:30 p.m.Where: Alumni Stadium, Greenville, Pa.Series record: Bluffton leads, 5-3.Scouting report: Bluffton is coming off a 24-6 win over Hiram last Saturday. Senior Ben Dodds powered the Beavers' rushing attack with 165 yards in 21 carries and two touchdowns. Thiel, meanwhile, beat Ohio Wesleyan last week, 22-19, behind senior QB Darrell Satterfield and junior WR Brandon Chambers (Farrell). Satterfield completed 21 of 34 passes for 304 yards and three TDs, all three scores going to Chambers covering 54, 19 and 25 yards. The 25-yard toss with 3:14 left proved to be the game-winner. Satterfield was named PAC Co-Offensive Player of the week, sharing honors with sophomore RB Ryan Abels of Waynesburg. Abels rushed for 246 yards in 42 carries and two TDs in Waynesburg's 31-7 romp past Randolph-Macon. Chambers enjoyed the second three-TD game of his career, and he finished with nine receptions for 178 yards. His first three-TD effort came last year against Bluffton as he caught nine passes for 283 yards. For that performance, he was named PAC Offensive Player of the Week. Satterfield's 304 yards passing rank No. 3 on Thiel's all-time charts, while his 21 completions tie for No. 4.

ALLEGHENY (1-1)vs. WASHINGTON & amp; JEFFERSON (2-0)

Scouting report: W & amp;J and Allegheny have waged a strong rivalry with four of their last six meetings decided by nine points or less. W & amp;J's 27-15 win over Hanover last week gave the Presidents their fifth 2-0 start in the last six years. Allegheny is coming off a 21-14 double-overtime win over Westminster. In W & amp;J's win, junior QB Chris Edwards was 14-for-23 passing for 201 yards and three TDs. He hit junior WR Aaron Kreps for two scores of 5 and 17 yards, and senior WR Jacob Shields for one TD of 47 yards. Shields caught eight passes for 156 yards -- both career-highs. Kreps also scored on a 43-yard run, and his three TDs were a career high. In Allegheny's win, sophomore QB Jimmy Savage scored on a 22-yard run and junior LB Vincent Werner intercepted a pass in the end zone to seal the Gators' victory. Senior NT Nick Sciarro (New Castle ) recovered a fumble at Allegheny's 34 in the second half to stop a Westminster drive. Senior S Adam Klimas (Boardman) sent the game into overtime for the Gators when he knocked a pass into the air where it was picked off by junior LB Elliott George.

GROVE CITY (2-0) vs. WOOSTER (1-0)
When: 1:30 p.m.Where: Robert E. Thorn Field, Grove City, Pa.Series record: Wooster leads, 7-1.Scouting report: Wooster has won seven straight games against Grove City, including 6-0 in their most recent meeting in 2001. The Scots were idle last week after opening the season with a 27-6 win over Muskingum. Grove City is coming off a 16-14 win over Carnegie-Mellon last week to pad its winning streak to four games extending back to last season. In Wooster's win, WR-PK Richie McNally had five catches for a career-high 104 yards, and accounted for 15 of the Scots' 27 points with two field goals, one TD and one extra-point kick. McNally's FGs of 41 and 34 yards gave him 19 for his career for the No. 1 spot on Wooster's all-time chart. His extra point extended his school career extra points record to 109. McNally's 37-yard TD reception from sophomore QB Justin Schafer was set up by a pass interception by senior CB Ryan Jayne (East Palestine). In Grove City's win, junior DB Ross Trimmer (Hickory) and senior DB Gene Iannuzzi each had a pass interception, while junior SS Aaron Margo registered a career-high 15 tackles, including four for losses. Senior SE Dave DiDonato caught his 11th career TD pass to take sole possession of the No. 3 spot on Grove City's all-time list.
GENEVA (0-1) vs. ST. FRANCIS (1-1)
When: 7 p.m.Where: Joliet Memorial Stadium, Joliet, Ill.Series record: St. Francis leads 1-0.Scouting report: Geneva was idle last week after losing its season opener to West Liberty State two Saturdays ago, 39-14. Red-shirt QB Justin Sciarro made his first start for Geneva and threw a pair of TD passes to sophomore Ricky Schultz of 66 and 7 yards to account for all of Geneva's offense in the loss. Sciarro completed 14 of 23 passes for 215 yards while Schultz led eight catches for 113 yards. On defense, Brian Hall led Geneva with 9.5 tackles, including five solo tackles, while P Zach Blair averaged 46.7 yards on six punts. St. Francis, meanwhile, survived Urbana's second-half rally to eke out a 29-27 win last week. St. Francis had a 29-7 lead in the third quarter before Urbana charged back. Senior CB Scott Heina became the first St. Francis player to return two interceptions for touchdowns in a game (25 and 37 yards), and was named Mid-States Football Association Mideast League Defensive Player of the Week.

WALSH (2-0) vs. OLIVET NAZARENE (1-1)
When: 2:30 p.m.Where: Ward Field in Bourbonnais, Ill.Series record: Tied at 1-1.Scouting report: Walsh defeated West Liberty State, 18-13 last Saturday for its fourth straight 2-0 season start. The winning score came on Don Kane's 18-yard TD pass to DanJuan Witcher with 4:10 remaining. Kane, a sophomore QB, also connected on a 30-yard TD strike to Darryl Owens in the first quarter. Mike Lum kicked a 34-yard field goal in the third quarter. Kane finished with 123 yards passing on 8-for-19. Chase Hostetler rushed for a game-high and career-best 197 yards. Walsh's defense was led by Joe Raddish with 11 tackles and Mike Norris with seven tackles and two sacks. Olivet, meanwhile, is coming off a 22-6 loss to Azusa Pacific last week. Sophomore RB Bill Lawrence rushed for 90 yards and scored on a 16-yard run. MALONE (1-0) vs. ST. XAVIER (0-2)
When: 1 p.m.Where: SXU Stadium, Chicago, Ill.Series record: Malone leads, 3-0.Scouting report: Malone opened the season last Saturday with a 33-26 win over Charleston (W. Va.). Sophomore QB Brad Reifsnyder completed 11 of 22 passes, including a school-record-tying four TD passes. His 70-yard TD strike to Nyrell North helped the Pioneers take a 31-13 advantage. Reifsnyder was named MSFA Mideast League Offensive Player of the Week. Senior RB Eric Smith led Malone's rushing with 115 yards in 26 carries. Knight finished with a game-high 111 yards in receptions on three catches, Malone's defense was led by senior LB Jim Fletcher with 11 tackles, including five solo stops. Fletcher was named the MSFA Mideast League Defensive Player of the Week. St. Xavier lost to Wisconsin-Whitewater last week, 19-10. In the loss, junior QB John Perryman completed 23 of 41 passes for 326 yards and a touchdown, but gave up two interceptions. Junior WR Jarrod Nowman had six catches for 156 yards and a touchdown while sophomore WR Greg Gerritsen had nine catches for 111 yards.
SLIPPERY ROCK (1-2)vs. FAIRMONT STATE (1-1)
When: 6 p.m.Where: DiSpirito Field at Thompson Stadium, Slippery Rock, Pa.Series record: Slippery Rock leads, 12-2-1. Slippery Rock won last year, 35-14.Scouting report: Slippery Rock beat Shepherd last week, 30-27, for its first win of the season. Ryan Daniel's 38-yard field goal delivered the win. Josh Kniess led the SRU offense with 139 yards rushing in 32 carries and three touchdowns. Fairmont State lost to California (Pa.) last week, 35-15. Fairmont State was limited to just 157 total yards, including only 37 rushing yards on 35 carries. Wendell Johnson managed only 44 yards on 15 attempts. Meanwhile, Fairmont State surrendered 421 total yards (214 in the air and 207 on the ground.
