Suggs returns, questionable for Sunday

BEREA (AP) -- Wearing a neck collar for added protection, Browns running back Lee Suggs returned to practice Wednesday and was listed as questionable for this weekend's game at Dallas.
Suggs has been bothered by a neck stinger for two weeks and missed the season opener against Baltimore. He took part in team drills on Wednesday, but didn't work on blocking.
"We kept him out of the high contact and blitz-drill stuff," said coach Butch Davis, who added that it's still too early to determine if Suggs will play Sunday.
"It's truly day to day," he said. "If he comes through OK, we'll give him a little more to do [today]."
Suggs was not available in the locker room for interviews before practice.
For the second time this week, Davis attempted to clarify Suggs' medical condition.
On Monday, Davis denied a report that said the Browns were being extra cautious with Suggs because he has stenosis -- a narrowing of the spinal column.
In doing so, Davis said Suggs did not have stenosis.
However, Davis now says he misspoke and Suggs does in fact have the condition, but that the stenosis is not connected to the neck stinger he suffered during a Sept. 1 practice.
Other injuries
Defensive lineman Gerard Warren only participated in a few drills, Davis said. Warren injured a pectoral muscle in the first quarter against the Ravens.
"I do believe Gerard will play," Davis said.
Defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban (groin), center Melvin Fowler (ankle), defensive end Corey Jackson (ankle) also are listed as questionable -- 50 percent chance of playing -- for the Cowboys.
Kenard Lang (elbow), the AFC's defensive player of the week after getting three sacks against Baltimore, and linebacker Eric Westmoreland (hip) are probable.
