Q. Can you tell me why "Crossing Over With John Edward" was canceled? I looked forward to watching it every morning and was very sorry to hear it is off the air. I see his Web site is no longer available either. -- M.J., Dallas
A. The self-proclaimed afterlife psychic fell victim to low ratings, but he still tours and writes books about communicating with the dead. Visit his personal Web site at www.johnedward.net.
Q. I think that Anthony LaPaglia -- who stars on "Without a Trace" -- may be the same actor who played the ditzy role of Simon, Daphne's brother on "Frasier." Am I right? -- J.C., San Jose, Calif.
A. Correct. He first appeared as Simon Moon -- brother to Jane Leeves' Daphne -- in January 2000, two years before "Without a Trace." Although he now stars as FBI guy Jack Malone in the CBS drama, he returned to "Frasier" last spring to reprise the quirky Simon Moon. "Without a Trace" begins a new season Sept. 23.
Q. I recently saw Richard Lewis on "The Dead Zone." I remember him from a series years ago but can't remember what it was. Please help. -- D.W., Ely, Nev.
A. The comedian/actor has starred or co-starred in a number of TV series. Maybe you remember him opposite Jamie Lee Curtis in "Anything But Love" (1989) or in "Daddy Dearest" (1993). He's also credited with "Rude Awakening," "Hiller and Diller" and "Harry." Besides his recent guest starring role as Jack Jericho on USA cable's "The Dead Zone," Lewis is a regular on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" as Larry David's real-life pal.
