Boardman, Fitch split in league



Boardman defeated Lake but Fitch fell to Jackson in the Federal League.
BOARDMAN -- Lauren Sirak scored two goals as Boardman High's girls soccer team defeated Uniontown Lake 4-1 in a Federal League game Wednesday.
Caitlyn Hackett and Mallory Hay scored a goal apiece for Boardman.
Jessica Wilson scored the only goal for Lake.
Massillon Jackson 6, Fitch 4
AUSTINTOWN -- Brittney Getz scored two goals for the Falcons in a Federal League game.
Jodi Bowlen and Dana Lucido each had a goal for the Falcons (3-2-3, 2-1 FL). Amanda Sprowl and Teresa Camens each had an assist.
Jackson (5-1, 3-0) was paced by Lauren Thomas who scored three goals.
Kristen Olson had two and Andrea Bigler added one goal and had two assists.
Fitch had nine shots on goal and Jackson had 34.The Falcons' Cara Calai had 15 saves.
Newton Falls 10, Liberty 2
NEWTON FALLS -- Mary Spletzer and Kortni Collins each had two goals for the Tigers (3-4-1, 2-2 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Alexis Seifert, Caitlin Martin, Kourtney Kubicina, Meridith Elliott, Allie Fetterolf and Desi Lemon each had one goal.
Casee Piquet had three assists for the Tigers and Elliott had two, Mary Spletzer, Grace Spletzer and Kirsti Collins each had one.
Amy Banner scored both goals for the Leopards, with Ashlee Magee had an assist.
Liberty's Zoe Sniderman and Brittany Schimpf had five saves apiece.
Grace Spletzer and Jessica Moser of the Tigers had five and two saves, respectively.
Hubbard 12, Girard 0
GIRARD -- Rachel Crafton and Christina Adams scored three points apiece for the Eagles (3-3, 2-1 TAC), while Laura Dripps added two. Erica Wittenauer, Ashley Bruce, Shannon Sarisky and Mary Vitnik each had one.
The Eagles had 39 shots on goal and the Indians had six. Ashley Esposito had 27 saves for Girard.
Badger 12, Pymatuning Valley 0
KINSMAN -- Tessa Bonar scored four goals, Jenna Miller scored three, Cayla Arnold had two and Shannon Sudon, Alivia Nuzzo and Hayley Jenkins each had one.
Arnold and Hannah Miller each had two assists while Bonar, Sudon, Amanda Gordon and Jenna Miller each had one.
Badger (6-1, 3-0) led 8-0 at the break.
The Lakers are 2-6, 0-2.
Maplewood 3, Bristol 1
BRISTOLVILLE -- Kristina Peterson scored two goals for the Rockets (3-4, 2-1). Brittany Spencer had the other goal.
Emily Aydelott scored for the Panthers.

WARREN -- Ron Hunkus scored three goals as the Liberty defeated Warren Harding 5-2.
Brent Callihan and Jim Kelly also had a goal apiece for the Leopards (2-4).
