XLOWELLVILLE -- Married during a private ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 28 at the village gazebo were Alison Ann Kovach, daughter of Betty Kovach, 461 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Youngstown, and the late Thomas Kovach, and Brian David Byo, son of the late Charles and Louise Byo, who had lived in Youngstown.
Mayor James Iudiciani officiated, and a reception followed at the couple's home, 1952 Meadowbrook Ave., Youngstown. They plan a honeymoon to Virginia Beach, Va., in October.
The bride's white iridescent gown featured a straight skirt and a chiffon drape around the bodice and down the back.
The maid of honor, Missy Zurcher, wore an amethyst gown.
Mike Midkiff performed the duties of best man.
Mrs. Byo graduated with a degree in applied science from Youngstown State University, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in allied health. She is a medical technician at an area hospital.
Her husband is a self-employed construction worker in Youngstown.
