VOLLEYBALL Mineral Ridge extends unbeaten streak to six



Springfield beat Western Reserve to stay unbeaten in the Inter-County League.
MINERAL RIDGE -- Alex Ladd had 17 serves as the Mineral Ridge High volleyball team stayed undefeated, defeating Lowellville 25-12, 21-25, 25-17, 25-12 in an Inter-County League game on Tuesday.
Morgan Maiorana added 12 serves and four aces for the Rams (6-0, 1-0).
For the Rockets, Kaitlin McCarthy was in with six kills and three aces and Rachel Mariotti had three blocks.

MINERAL RIDGE -- On Monday, Alex Ladd collected 12 serves and three aces while Rachael Siler added 11 serves and three blocks as Mineral Ridge ran their undefeated streak to five matches.
The Panthers are 3-3.

BERLIN CENTER -- Lindsay Johnson paced the Tigers (7-3, 2-0 ICL) with 17 kills.
Christy Warren scored 16 points and had five kills while Krista Snyder scored 23 points.
Leta Lenhart picked up 23 points and four digs for the Blue Devils (4-4, 0-1). Sara Kutsko added 10 points, 10 kills and 10 blocks.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Danielle Crafter scored 15 points and had three kills and Jenna Kiraly added 10 points and 10 assists for the Irish (3-5).
Also for Ursuline, Krista Foster had three kills.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Adrienne Peace served 17 points with nine aces and 26 assists for the Cowboys (7-1).
Tiera Jones added 11 points, six aces, three kills and a block.
For Campbell, Domonique Williams served eight points and Shameka Starkey had 10 points.

HOWLAND -- Dee Muransky collected 16 points, two aces and 12 kills for Poland in a Metro Athletic Conference.
Doni Muransky added seven points, an ace and nine kills while Mollie Patrick had six points and 12 assists for Poland (5-3, 2-2).
For the Tigers (6-3, 2-2), Taylor Summerfield had four points, an ace and 13 kills.
Tara Rose had three points, eight kills and one assist while Brittany Kelly had three points, two aces and a kill for Howland.

LIBERTY -- Carrie Gasser led the Eagles with 18 assists.
Callie Olyer had 12 kills and Kyleen Hoch had 10 digs for Hubbard.
For the Leopards (4-4, 2-3 Trumbull Athletic Conference), Jessie Sackas scored seven points and Ami Markowitz killed seven balls.

SEBRING -- Amanda Mesmer collected 16 points, eight kills and six blocks while Tiffany Faust picked up 15 points and 38 sets for the Bulldogs (2-4, 1-3 Tri-County League).
Korie Beight scored seven points and killed 12 balls for East Palestine.
For the Trojans (3-5, 2-3), Kayla Faudree had 10 points, two aces and five kills and Brittany Tewksbury was in with 10 points, an ace and a kill.

For the Raiders (0-6, 0-1), Kasey Knopp recorded four aces, six kills and 12 attacks.
Tara Chizmar had 16 kills and 26 attacks.

Brandi Snavely added 38 assists and 17 digs.

CANAL FULTON -- Lauren Pshniak had eight points to lead the Warriors (6-3, 4-2) in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference.
Evelyn Woods added 10 kills, 17 blocks and 22 passes for the Warriors while Dena New assisted 15 times.
Northwest is 6-1, 5-0.
