U.S. MARSHALS SERVICE MOST WANTED Gilbert Desoto

The U.S. Marshals Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is asking the public to help find its most wanted fugitive of the week:
Name: Gilbert Desoto
Age: 39
Height: 5 feet 10 inches
Weight: 240 pounds
Eyes: Green
Hair: Brown
Identifying marks: Tattoo on right arm
Charges: Theft and probation violation. Desoto is accused of defrauding elderly people. Police say he identifies himself as a utility employee or a laborer and cons people into paying for work that he says must be done or says that they owe the utility company money and can pay him. He is accused of attempting to defraud an 86-year-old Liberty woman of $3,750. Police said he attempted to cash her check at Farmers National Bank in Girard.
Anyone with information on this suspect should call (866) 4WANTED. Callers do not have to identify themselves. Cash rewards will be given to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
