Southington unable to stop Morgan Lloyd

SOUTHINGTON -- Senior tailback Morgan Lloyd scored five touchdowns and rushed for 324 yards in 25 carries, to rally the visiting Conotton Valley High football team to a 43-20 win over Southington on Saturday.
Southington held a 20-15 lead in the third quarter, but Lloyd reeled off three straight TDs for Connotton Valley (3-0).
Jimmy Bauger led Southington (1-2) to its early lead. He hit J.P. Barco on a 55-yard TD pass in the first quarter, and plunged 1-yard to a score in the second period. Bauger was 4-for-20 for 89 yards.
Zack Stalnaker scored on a 47-yard run in the first quarter for the Wildcats, and finished with 79 yards rushing in 13 carries.
Shadyside 28, Wilson 14
SHADYSIDE -- Erik Cwalinski threw three touchdown passes, two of them to Steve Luckhardt, to lead Shadyside (2-1).
Gary Scott scored on a 65-yard pass from Darrelle Patterson and a 7-yard run for Wilson (0-3).
Akron East 13,Canton Timken 6
CANTON -- Caleb Beasley had 12 carries for 33 yards and scored a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter for East.
Carl Cole led the Trojans (1-2) with 22 carries for 39 yards and Larry Hubbard added a 5-yard TD run.
