XBLACKLICK -- Exchanging marriage vows Sept. 5 during a ceremony at Jefferson Country Club were Johnetta Conard and Richard "Duke" Carey, both of 2535 Keltonhurst Court. The Rev. Kai Nilsen of Gahanna Peace Lutheran Church officiated at the 5:30 p.m. outdoor service for the daughter of Rodney Sheets and Joan Sheets, both of Coshocton, and son of Betty Carey of Chestnut Street, Leetonia, and the late Robert Carey.
The couple also were honored at a reception at the country club.
The bride, who wore an ivory gown, was attended by her daughter, Kara Conard of Blacklick, who wore an lavender dress.
The groom's son, Liam Carey of Boone, N.C., performed the duties of best man. Also attending the groom was his daughter, Maggie Carey of Boone. Ushers were Jim Carey of Canfield, the groom's brother, and Rod Sheets of Columbus, the bride's brother.
Mr. and Mrs. Carey are employed at Huntington Banks in Columbus. He is a vice president and she is product manager. Mrs. Carey holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University, Columbus, and Mr. Carey also is an OSU graduate.
