Horticultural show winners announced

YOUNGSTOWN -- Ribbons and trophies were presented to winners following the horticultural show held by the Men's Garden Club of Youngstown Aug. 28 and 29 at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitors Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
After the 276 adult entries and 59 youth entries were judged, awards were presented to the following adults: Don Brown, first; Hugh Earnhart, second, and Rodney Toth, third.
Youth winners were: Collin Dotson, Rebecca Hartz, and Rebecca Mowad, first, second and third respectively.
Earnhart's hanging basket won the adult best of show award, and the youth best of show award went to Dotson with his Celoisa Amigo. Toth also won the award for the biggest tomato in the show.
