Former residents mark 65th year at dinner party

XLEESBURG, Fla. -- Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gerzel of Leesburg, formerly of Youngstown, marked their 65th wedding anniversary Sept. 9. The couple celebrated the occasion during a dinner party with family members and friends at Vic's Supper Club.
The former Freda Leese and Mr. Gerzel were married Sept. 9, 1939, at South United Presbyterian Church in Youngstown.
Mr. Gerzel was the assistant postmaster of the Youngstown Post Office. He retired in 1974.
Mrs. Gerzel was a florist.
The couple moved to Florida in 1974.
Their family includes son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sue Gerzel of Orlando, Fla., and daughters, Sandra Benson of Savannah, Ga.; and Janyce Gillen of Struthers. The family circle includes nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
