Fall wedding set by Joy Zarlenga, Mark Bachleda

XBOARDMAN -- The engagement of Dr. Joy Ellen Zarlenga and Dr. Mark Joseph Bachleda, both of 1160 Corte Riviera, Camarillo, Calif., is being announced by the bride-elect's parents, James V. and Joyce M. Zarlenga, 820 Westport Drive.
The future groom is a son of Stanislaw and Mary Bachleda, 8840 W. 100th St., Palos Hills, Ill.
Invitations will be issued for the couple's wedding to take place at 1 p.m. Oct. 23 at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. An evening reception, also by invitation, is planned at the University Club of Chicago.
Dr. Zarlenga earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Miami University in Oxford and a doctor of pharmacy and master's of public health degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical research at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. Dr. Zarlenga is an associate manager in medical affairs at Amgen Inc.
Dr. Bachleda holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Moraine Valley Community College, Palos Hills, and earned a doctor of pharmacy at the University of Illinois. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in economics at Thomas Jefferson University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. He is a marketing executive at Amgen Inc.
