Apparently, some of us can never get enough of the Dark Knight. And so, yet another take on the famed superhero arrives in the form of "The Batman" (10:30 a.m., the WB), an animated series that focuses on Bruce Wayne's early years and offers updated renditions of the Joker, Penguin and Catwoman. The first anniversary of the death of Johnny Cash is being marked by special programming on CMT throughout the weekend. This new documentary, "Controversy: Johnny Cash vs. Music Row" (8 p.m., CMT), covers Cash's problems with the Nashville establishment when he fell from favor in the 1980s. (In a blow that was overshadowed by his eventual resurgence, Cash was unceremoniously dumped by the Columbia label in 1986.) Sunday, the emotional memorial concert in Nashville, taped on Nov. 10, will be repeated at noon and 7:30 p.m.
There's plenty of action in "X2: X-Men United" (8 p.m., HBO), a sequel to the hit movie based on the Marvel comic book. This time Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are on the same side, trying to stop power-hungry Brian Cox. Others returning include Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Famke Janssen and James Marsden.
