COMMON COURT Mother found guilty of killing twin daughters in house fire
The woman could face the death penalty.
ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) -- A jury convicted a woman on Thursday in the arson deaths of her 11-month-old twin daughters in a house fire last year.
Rose "Katie" Roseborough, 25, sat down, buried her head in her arms and cried when Judge David L. Johnson read the verdict in Ashland County Common Court: guilty of two counts of aggravated murder and single counts of attempted aggravated murder and aggravated arson.

The jury must return Tuesday to hear evidence in the penalty phase of the trial and decide whether to recommend the death penalty in the April 7, 2003, deaths of Julia and Lucie Bursley. Roseborough's 6-year-old daughter, Caitlin, was injured in the fire in their Ashland home.
The jury acquitted Roseborough of alternative counts of child endangering and involuntary manslaughter.
Jurors deliberated about 18 hours beginning Tuesday.
At the prosecutor's request, the judge revoked Roseborough's bond and she was jailed.
Prosecution and defense attorneys, under a gag order from the judge, left court without commenting.
In an interview with the Ashland Times-Gazette at Akron Children's Hospital one day after the fire, Roseborough said her children were temperamental and acted like a demolition derby, according to a social worker who testified at the trial. Unlike most parents of children who die tragically, Roseborough spoke little about the fire, the witness said.
Roseborough's mother testified that her daughter had suffered life-changing brain damage in a car accident as a teenager. Jacklyn Roseborough testified said she had never seen the defendant abuse her children.
