PREVIEW Tonight's game

INDIANAPOLIS at NEW ENGLAND
When: 9 p.m.
TV/radio: WYTV (33), WEWS (5), WTAE (4), WBBW-AM (1240).
Line: Patriots by 31/2.
Series history: Patriots lead 41-24. Patriots beat Colts 24-14 in AFC championship game Jan. 18.
Last season: Colts won AFC North, lost to Patriots in AFC title game. Patriots won AFC East and edged Panthers in Super Bowl to win second title in three years.
Key matchup: Colts WRs Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne vs. Patriots DBs Ty Law and Tyrone Poole. In last year's AFC title game, Patriots shut down league's most potent passing attack with physical play in secondary. Not one post-snap penalty was called and Colts QB Peyton Manning finished with four interceptions. In part because of fallout from that game, NFL's competition committee announced defensive holding and illegal contact would be major points of emphasis this season. If officials call game tight, Harrison and rest of Colts receivers could flourish.
