PREP ROUNDUP Falcons roll past Canton McKinley

CANTON -- Amanda Sprowl scored three goals as the Austintown Fitch High girls soccer team posted a 7-1 victory over Canton McKinley in a Federal League game Wednesday.
The contest was considered official even though the McKinley coach asked that it be ended at halftime because of inclement weather.
Jodi Bowlen and Brittney Getz each scored two goals for the Falcons (3-1-2, 2-0 Federal League).
Sprowl, Kristi Brendlinger, Tracy Pawlik and Getz had an assist apiece.
Fitch had 23 shots on goal, compared to McKinley's five.
Falcons goalkeeper Cara Calai had three saves, while Bulldogs goalie Allison Balloon had four saves.
Mooney 4, Gates Mills Hawken 0
GATES MILLS -- Kelli Willis and Marisa Simon scored two goals apiece for the Cardinals (4-0-1).
Mimi Vitello had two assists for Mooney, which had 24 shots on goal to Hawken's (3-2) one.
Volleyball
NORTH JACKSON -- Christy Warren collected 20 points, 13 aces and five kills as Springfield defeated Jackson-Milton 25-13, 25-5, 25-20 in an Inter-County League match Wednesday.
Lindsay Johnson added 20 kills for the Tigers (5-1, 1-0 ICL).
For the Bluejays (0-1, 0-1), Megan Whitmer had 10 points, an ace, 21 sets and eight assists.
Krista Kiraly added eight points and a pair of aces.
